Meet Your Team
Judd Porter
'Juddy'
The leader of 'Team Pink', Juddy's history as the leading behavioural coach at Wangaratta District Specialist School elevated his skills in supporting some of the region's most complex young people and their families.
He has a pedigree in craft brew and really knows a thing or three about his ales. Unfortunately he likes to pair them with salt and vinegar chips, and we're not really quite sure what's going on there.
A dad with three beautiful daughters, he's bravely started surprising them with 'yes' days, which have resulted in more than a few regrets so far.
Chris Harvison
'Harvo'
The leader of 'Team Blue', Harvo's known for his long standing role as principal at Wangaratta District Specialist School, successfully supporting and advocating for people with diverse needs throughout our local area.
A maestro in the kitchen, his 'Vampire Beware' salami is the stuff of legend and very much in demand by those who've been lucky enough to score a bite or three.
In his down time he loves a blisteringly hot sauna, beating Juddy in a solid round of golf, and cracking open a sneaky spiced rum by a roaring weekend fire.
Katherine Savidis
'Kat'
Kat's our totally brilliant Clinical Supervisor and, in addition to ensuring we're all at the top of our game, quite honestly writes the most detailed clinical notes we've ever seen.

She's a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), while also holding a Bachelor of Psychology and a Masters of Special Education to boot, and has been leading Behaviour Support teams in senior management positions since 2013.

Partial to a banana smoothie, her favourite pastime is to give our IT Guy regular heart attacks by dreaming up incredible new tools to improve our ongoing services.
Bridie Bromley
'B.B'
BB's taught in the special education field for the past 8 years and has recently relocated to Queensland to work with us up north.
She's worked alongside individuals with a wide range of needs and complex behaviours, and has a particular passion for supporting families in the Early Intervention sector.
Now she's based in Cairns, her new favourite thing to do is send us pics of the tropical paradise she lives in while we're all freezing our essentials off as winter rips through Victoria.
We hope she gets (a little bit of) sunburn.
Bree O'Connor
'Bree OC'
Bree's currently celebrating her 22nd year in mental heath sciences and behavioural support. Prior to becoming a Unicorn, she was a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner at the Department of Human Services for 12 years in the Behaviour Intervention team.

(Her impressive list of certifications and training is WAY too long to fit in this bio, but believe us when we say she's pretty much done it all.)

She's also made it her personal mission to drink everything that Billson's in Beechworth has ever made, and is well on the way to achieving that goal!
Catherine Spencer
'Spence'
Spence commenced her career as a Div 2. nurse working in a rehab training hospital in '89, then developed as a Behaviour Practitioner from 2003.

Her interest and skillset reach throughout the spectrum of sexuality and disability, forensic neurobiology of trauma, and family units.

In addition to racing vintage cars and enjoying the odd spot of fishing, she's also attempted to knit or crochet a garment for each of her grandkids.
(Alas, her first cardie is still in a bag in the wardrobe, and the kid it was for is now 12.)
Chloe Sloan
'Pockets'
'Pockets Sloan' is our resident gangster behaviour practitioner, holding a Bachelor of Psychological Science with a huge list of distinctions including: Addiction, Child & Adolescent Development, Social Psychology, Health Behaviour, and Human Behaviour.
Her professional history includes supporting people with Autism with early intervention programs, and she's also on a personal mission to fix the wierd lack of pockets present in women's clothing everywhere.

She's a big fan of "anything green", indoor plants (strangely, these are also green), and sashimi. (Hopefully the sashimi is not green!)
Jess McAliece
'JMac'
JMac's a recent psychological science graduate who was working in sleep analysis before we nabbed her as a superstar Unicorn recruit.

She's had a passion for allied health since adolescence and is absolutely blowing us away with her commitment to providing quality support.
Her favourite foods include home-cooked lasange, a solid packet of Twisties, and Hawaiian pizza topped with olives. (Whyyy?!).
Thankfully, she used to be a barista and so makes up for it by brewing us killer coffee.
Alexandra Mason
'Ally'
Ally teams a super-strong administrative history in Queensland Health with her Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) to follow her passion of helping people with disabilities live their very best lives.

She's a Crossfit nut, a reader of large books, and loves spending quality time with both her lovely daughter and barky little chihuahua fluffball - Sunny.

Despite a very successful health and fitness focus, Ally's favourite foods include chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate... with a little side of extra chocolate thrown in for good measure. (Yummo!)
Cathleen McGrath
'Cath'
Backed by her extensive degree in Health and Medical Science, Cath started her career at a national not-for-profit where she provided person-centred and evidence-based behavioural support planning.
When she's off duty, Cath enjoys endlessly tidying up after her family (we suspect otherwise), taking care of her neurotic rescue dog - Scratch, and making sure that Bob, her kids' 8 year-old-goldfish, doesn't go to the great fishbowl in the sky.

While she tells us she's a massive fan of coffee, we reckon she'll be up for something stronger given the right circumstances!
Maddison Anderson
'Maddie'
Once Maddie realised that her Bachelor Forensic Science meant a career for people with a cast-iron stomach, she very wisely chose a Bachelor in Psychology instead!

She's been working in disability support for over 3 years now and is loving every minute.

Maddie's a diehard ice cream connoisseur, and while she's a recent mum to a furless kiddie, her first child is actually a sass-queen Border Collie named Maisy.

(Did we mention she's also certified in Hypnotherapy? For some reason we're really, really craving Ben and Jerry's.)
Kristy Thompson
'K.T.'
KT's a registered early childhood teacher and behaviour analyst with an absolute swag of qualifications at her fingertips, including a Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis and Autism Studies.
She's currently pursuing her goal of becoming a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), and was recently the Director of a large Early Learning Centre supporting children with Autism.

In her spare time, KT is full on water baby and social butterfly, combining both in frequent trips to the beach with her much loved family, friends, and furchild - Ruby.
Ebony Dezius
'Ebs'
Ebs has undertaken a Bachelor of Psychology, is a registered Psychologist, has recently completed her Grad Dip in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), and is now going for her Masters in ABA just for good measure.

She's a super strong advocate for the reduction of restrictive practices, and for people with disabilities to have autonomy towards improving their lives.

Her favourite noms include vegetarian burritos, and she also has the C.U.T.E.S.T ragdoll cat you will ever, ever meet.
(His royal fluffybuttness is named 'Vali'.)
Jason Tom
'Jase '
Originally an Investigator with the Victorian Police for over 11 years, solving challenging situations is second nature for Jase.

Having a passion for disengaged indigenous youth, he regularly supports complex participants in the law enforcement system, and uses his skills as an AFL Level 2 Accredited Coach to reach difficult cases in remote communities.

Jase recently undertook a Bachelor in Psychological Science, and is our second awesome Unicorn up in sunny Cairns.

(Like Bridie, we hope he also gets sunburn.)
Cassandra Hines
'Cass'
Previously the Inclusion Leader at Yarrunga Primary School, Cass' has been working with care teams, staff and students in behavioural support and wellbeing since 2018.

A fully qualified teacher, she also has a strong history of being brilliant with application documentation, including funding applications, and even has an extra Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics tucked away for specialist needs.

While Cass'll be after the hot choccy during our coffee runs, apparently 'anything tastes good after 5', so we're up for the challenge of finding her favourite knock-off drinks!
